Hope you like ‘whites’?  Could produce pure whites & then again with ‘69’ in play, anything can happen, colour wise. Anyway ‘White Ice’ is big, chunky & sits up there, with just a hint of lemon yellow in the throat, it‘s a beauty. ‘69’ soft cream that as it matures has a soft pink tinge, texture plus as well.          Sold Out

   Redid one of our early crosses X1172, as ‘Kate’ is one of the best type forms going around, with its cream/ yellow    40mm blooms, great texture & shape, plus an almost perfect spike habit. Stick the ‘Moon’ into the equation; result      should  be a show bench special.  1 COMPOT @ $30.00 EACH

One of the relatively new kids. Billy Dobson took out one of the Warringah Group Shows with this & it received a HCC. Thought it would be good to self.             Seeing is believing. We thought that how can we increase the flower count on ‘The Moon’ and give a  speciosum              ‘hillii’ a flower with more substance and size. This is the equation we came up with, which should do exactly that.     Shouldn’t take 15 years to flower, they are growing well   1  COMPOT @ $30.00 EACH

2298    D. kingianum ‘WHITE ICE’     X     kingianum ‘BROWN’S WHITE’

As above with ‘White Ice’, & I think this one of the few white line breeding that has been done. Now ’Brown ‘s White’, from our good friend Albert who is looking after the ‘kingies’ in the big bush house in the sky, is virtually pure white, not overly large in the flower size, but looking to have even purer white ‘kingies’.            50mm TUBES  Sold Out

‘Blew’ without question one of the best curvicaule’s, from the same area as ‘The Moon’ FCC/AOC was collected. When they both flower at their best it’s difficult to judge, which is better, trouble is, they don’t seem to want to do it at the same time. Could be brothers/sisters.             Could be similar to X2190, (’05 Cat.) only that ‘Black Alley’ is a slightly bigger flower, and deeper in colour. Throw in  ‘Chewy’, (not from Star Wars) with its fantastic texture and shape, and excellent spike habit, and we could have  an    exceptional kingianum, with exciting new colours and combo’s. 3  COMPOTS @ $30.00 EACH

2494 *D. spec. HERBSTAR ‘TRIFID’S TWIN’     X     spec. curv.’ DAYLIGHT MOON’ FCC/AOC-ANOS     

‘The Twin’ as it implies is related to ‘Trifid’, won Champion at the Wetlands Show ’06. Same unbelievable texture, flower presentation & clear cream yellow lip. 2501    D. spec. pedunculatum ( compactum )     X    spec. spec. ‘AMY’

Something a little different, a compactum (a.k.a. pedunculatum), the dwarf version, still upright spikes of yellow/gold flowers, whilst Dad is one of the better type forms in the stable. Should improve flower size, count and texture, growing well.     Limited 50mm TUBES

            Here is potentially a great mix that should produce an excellent result.  Mum, a long arching spike of golden  yellow    beauties, this flowers earlier than the rest. 9600    *D. polysema v pallidum      X     SELF

P.N.G. species, grows cool/intermediate, evidently RHS gave it a syn. with D. macrophyllum. IT IS NOT. This a select           form and produces 20 to 25 long lasting blooms on an erect stem, light cream with purple veins & heavy spotting on lip & segments, with a very hairy characteristic on the back of the S & P’s.
