1869    S. DUNO NICKY’S TWIN ‘ALMOST NICKY’    X    hartmannii ‘BEE ESS’ HCC/AOC

As the ‘Twin’s clonal variety would allude, that it’s almost like ‘Nicky’, pure RED. Good shape, presentation &flower count, ‘Bee Ess’ HCC/AOC has, we hope finally come to maturity in the breeding department, both as a Mum & Dad.  It has a number of interesting crosses in the system & this is JUST one of them. Red & White, Yellow & Red, who knows, I know who knows, but he won’t tell me.       VERY LIMITED  50mm TUBES

2054    S. GEORGE COLTHUP ‘THE EYE’    X     fitzgeraldii ‘RED ON RED’

Not the easiest to play with ‘The Eye’, as is ‘George’ in general. Fifty-cent piece sized, flat as, & with red/maroon ‘Eye’ that says ‘Look at me’, ‘Look at me’. ‘DAD’ as it suggests is RED, solid, dusty red. That box of chocolates again, where you never know what you are going to get.                                          LIMITED 50mm TUBES         Sold Out

   Sarc. fitzgeraldii ‘RED ON RED’

2055      S. FITZHART – REMAKE, with a Twist  i.e.,(S. fitzgeraldii ‘True Albie’ x hartmannii  ‘Alba’)

A pure white, line bred fitzgeraldii of good shape, third generation, We’re told. Then put the pure white round-segmented hartmannii into stud duties. Hoping for pure white progeny, & lots of blooms with good shape. Chubby could sing its praises like he did last summer, remember?             LIMITED 50mm TUBES & 80mm POTS @ $12.00 EACH

   Sarc. VELVET ‘FAINT MARBLE’

2361 S. VELVET    EXACT REMAKE  of X773  i.e.,(S. NICKY ‘TOO’  x  RIVERDENE HOLLY)    + C

You asked for it, now you’ve got it. I don’t think I have to expand too much on what we are going to get here, as the colour spectrum we have seen from the original cross of Neil’s has been incredible. I’ve benched 6 of the original cross & all have similar colour bases, but their combination has been so variable.  We also added colchocine to the equation, and they are growing extremely well. Enjoy the journey, we will.     50mm TUBES & Limited 80mm Pots

2392 S. DAWN HART ‘GENESIS’    X    hartmannii ‘YELLOW SNOW’ AD/

Named after a dear friend in Dawn Hart (Aussie Dawn x hartmannii), & is as colourful as she was, now giving swimming lessons to those in the big pool in the sky. Soft cream yellow base colour with a myriad of magenta/pink spots over 2/3 of the segments, good shape & flower count, about a ten-cent piece size. Dad ‘The Snow’ should add a new dimension in the colour result, & we are looking forward to that, aren’t we Rick?    Limited 50mm TUBES

   Sarc. Armstrong ‘Funny Face’

2405          *S. ARMSTRONG ‘FUNNY FACE’    X    hartmannii ‘SEVEN’

Another of the new kids. ‘Funny Face’, a well rounded beauty with a ivory white base colour having pink blotching on the S & P’s with rings around the centre of the blooms being orange/red, and a yellow lip. ‘Seven’  (Reefer x Red Snow) has excellent shape, good flower count & an intense red centre. Result, an even funnier face, & more flowers on the spike. Plus Red Snow can do wonders with the original colours. Varietal name given to it as it has colorations /patterns similar to our Goleta (California) friends cat, also named ‘Funny Face’    Limited 50mm TUBES

2447    *S. RIVERDENE ‘HOLLY’’ – TUMBI    X    VELVET ‘OH! SO RED’

‘Holly’ is back with its cream/yellow S & P’s & vibrant red centre, arching spike & good flower count. Whilst ‘Oh So Red’,  as the name implies is a solid velvety red. Given that Velvet’s usually flower later than other Sarc’s, so by putting these  two together, we may get one that will be in flower for much longer than both parents, worthwhile adding to your     collection.                 Sold Out

                                    Sarc. VELVET ‘OH! SO RED’

2451          *S. MARINA HARRIOTT   i.e.,(S. ceciliae ‘DELVENE’    X    VELVET ‘OH! SO RED’)

‘Delvene’ a better than average solid lipstick pink ceciliae, good flower count and spike. Dad, as per X2447

flowers flat as the proverbial pancake & the velvety red. Should produce a very pleasing ‘novelty’ Sarcochilus,

colour, your guess would be as good as mine, enjoy.          1  COMPOT @ $30.00 EACH

2468 S. VELVET      EXACT  REMAKE of  X 828  i.e.,(RIVERDENE HOLLY x NICKY #1)              + C

Very little difference between Nicky ‘# 1’ and ‘Too’, and in the colour range resulting from the original 828 cross and the 773 that have flowered, you really can’t tell ‘who’s who in the Zoo’, so to speak. Your choice, but given I shot them with the colchocine as well. They are both growing well, try both, why not?  One thing, you won’t have to put these in a cage, just enjoy.        50mm TUBES   Compots Sold Out

    Sarc. hartmannii ‘BRIAN’S CHOICE’

2530 S. PINK BLOSSOM    X    hartmannii ‘BRIAN’S CHOICE’

Mum, courtesy of Stan Davis, thank you. Lovely mid pink round-segmented bloom with raspberry dots over centre half of segments, & plenty of them. Add our stud muffin, hartmannii a fertile Daddy, we could hope for something like a Bobby Dazzler, that we can breed with, as ‘Bobby’ is a little on the shy side.       Very Limited

2535    *S. RACHEAL    REMAKE      + C       i.e.,(hartmannii ‘YELLOW SNOW’ AD/HCC

X   HEIDI ‘ALBERT BROWN’ - Gold Ira Butler Trophy Winner ’04)

On paper this has the potential to be an absolute cracker.  Heidi, S & P’s bone white base colour with mid pink stripes

and blotching over 90% of the segments, with a solid deep pink/maroon ring around the centre. 15 plus blooms to the

spike. Dad, has in the past shown the ability to enhance its partners colours to orange tones. Add the colchocine to the equation, outstanding prospect.                 Very Limited COMPOTS Sold Out

2552 S. MELBA   -   REMAKE                 i.e.,( S. falcatus ‘GOLDEN SHOULDER’  x  hartmannii ‘YELLOW SNOW’)

Another Melba! BUT this could produce Melba’s with a yellow to yellow/orange centre, given that the colour of the falcatus in having more yellow on the labellum, a montainous form, as with 2388. In breeding Dad has the ability to create different hues. Hopefully this is not an exception.  LIMITED 50mm TUBES     Sold Out
