            Mum, Champion Mt. Penang ’07 another virgin, this one from Ted Walmsley and produced a typical curvicaule display, perfect.

Lovely arching spike of perfectly presented 30-35mm cream/yellow blooms, with texture plus. Add the ‘texture bandit’ in        ‘Trifid’. This double dosed curvicaule intervarietal has to, we say with reasonable confidence, produce a real texture plus bloom that you could possibly crack eggs on, with a flower presentation that you would possibly kill for.

Here we have an excellent shaped grandiflorum in ‘Lauren’ good strong yellow bloom, going around the 60mm plus mark on a long pendulous spike, and lots of them. To obtain a slightly more compact plant and flower earlier, 10 to 12 years, rather than 15 to 20 years, we gave the ‘Super Stud’ in Daylight Moon the pleasure of doing just that. We kept on getting asked for some grandiflorum, which as you can see we have done it twice, it is the Irish in me “to be sure, to be sure”. Mum as above, whilst Dad, also another of the new kids presents itself almost as good as ‘Lauren’ maybe slightly smaller, texture on a par, although with the colchocine possibly better, but legs slightly straighter. No we haven’t used invitro on Lauren; she is just your typical very fertile Mum, who likes to spread herself around a bit. Julian,

another of the texture plus grandiflorums we have used for the first time as a stud, another of the strong yellows, good shape and texture with the typical pendulous spike.
